11 Evenings of Meditative Chanting to honor Yogi Bhajan Birthday
Dates: August 15th - August 25th
Every year at this time, people around the world honor the memory of Yogi Bhajan and celebrate his teachings by gathering to perform two special practices: a special sadhana on the morning of August 26th, the anniversary of his birth, preceded by 11 evenings of meditative chanting. We invite you to join us in paying tribute to the person who brought Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to the west.
On 11 consecutive evenings, Thursday, August 15th through Sunday, August 25th, we’ll gather at 7pm to chant 31 minutes of “Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das Guru”, Yogi Bhajan’s favorite mantra.
Members of the Sikh Dharma and Kundalini Yoga communities take turns hosting. Yoga West will be the venue for the 2 Sunday evenings, August 18th & August 25th. Locations for the others will be posted at the center. Come join us when you can. It’s a great time for sharing and meeting people.
