Meditative Chanting

11 Evenings of Meditative Chanting to honor Yogi Bhajan Birthday

Meditations will be hosted at Yoga West: Thursday August 16th and Thursday, August 23rd 7pm.

Every year at this time, people around the world honor the memory of Yogi Bhajan and celebrate his teachings by gathering to perform two special practices: a morning sadhana on August 26th, the anniversary of his birth, preceded by 11 evenings of meditative chanting.  We invite you to join us in paying tribute to the person who brought Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to the west.

Meditative Chanting:

On 11 consecutive evenings, Wednesday, August 15th through Saturday, August 25th, we’ll gather at 7pm to chant 31 minutes of “Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das Guru”, Yogi Bhajan’s favorite mantra.

Members of the Sikh Dharma and Kundalini Yoga communities take turns hosting.  Yoga West will be the venue for the 2 Thursday evenings, August 16th & August 23rd. Locations for the others will be posted at the center.  Come join us when you can. It’s a great time for sharing and meeting people.
