A message to our dear students:

COVID 19 is providing us all with an opportunity to cultivate inventive flexibility and tap our inner resources. Yoga West is exploring ways to serve you and keep our community connected during these distancing times. Several teachers are beginning to offer virtual yoga and meditation classes via the Zoom app.

Check our schedule for links to real time classes, offered free of charge through the end of March.

We’ll also be revitalizing our Yoga West Eugene Facebook page— another way to stay in touch.

In the meantime, we urge you to stay home and continue your very best self-care, including

"Breath of Ten",* an effective healing pranayam to bolster the immune system.

May we find opportunity for growth in this crisis.

May we be healed and whole.

Yoga West Teachers.

Yoga West is the Eugene, Oregon home of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. This cooperatively run non-profit yoga center has been serving the Eugene-Springfield area since 1972.

The word kundalini literally means “the curl of the lock of hair of the beloved.” It is a metaphor, a poetic way of describing the flow of energy and consciousness, which already exists within each one of us. The practices enable you to merge with or “yoke” with the Universal Self. This merging of individual consciousness with universal consciousness creates a “divine union” called yoga. The technology of Kundalini Yoga applies its science to our bodies and minds, and is aimed at spirit which has no boundaries, no discrimination. Therefore it is for everyone. It is universal and nondenominational.
