About Yoga West

Yoga West, Eugene’s oldest yoga center, is a non-profit collectively run by the teachers. We focus exclusively on Kundalini Yoga.

Through teaching and personal experience, we know this is a path to well-being, growth and spiritual awakening, and are committed to sharing it.

Yoga West remains close to the traditional forms and spiritual roots of yoga, with our multi-faceted classes typically including postures, breathwork, meditation, mantra, and deep relaxation, often accompanied by the gong. We practice Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

In the 1970s, Kundalini Yoga was the first yoga taught at the U of O and eventually found its permanent home at 3635 Hilyard. The building, originally a print shop, was purchased by Sikh Dharma of Oregon and used for Gurdwara services and special events. Yoga West is blessed to rent this light-filled, high vibration space from the local Sikh community for our classes and events.
